I love music especially straight ahead jazz. I was listening to Wynton Marslis on night last year. He was live from Lincoln Center in New York. He and his orchestra were playing some serious straight ahead jazz that night. While listening to them I began to develop this image in my head. I started thinking of how rich the art and music culture is in New York. I wanted this painting to have that uplifting feel associated with straight ahead jazz. The improvisational style in which Wynton blew his horn really inspired the freedom of my brush strokes. I had fun painting this one for sure. This painting is a 36" x 36" oil on canvas....$3,200

Okay fellas I suppose we all have thought about it. Certainly some guys actually have them, I did this painting after knowing how much trouble it might cause in my house. That's why I told my wife that this painting represents all of the women she is all rolled into one amazing woman. I know she probably doesn't believe that BS but it got me off the hook. In many ways it's still a work in progress and I intend to finish it someday soon so be on the lookout for the re posting of it. Until then it will be in my private collection. It's 72" x 50" oil on canvas.
